The First Birth Story and Fresh 48 of 2020

Oh golly! This is one of my absolute favorite things. Birth Stories and Fresh 48! So let's talk about this beautiful event...

I know, I know.. It sounds crazy! Hiring a photographer to document you giving birth? Well, let me tell you, it's worth it.

I don't have kids. But, when I get to document these beautiful little babies coming into the world, I suddenly LOVE watching them grow.

So let me tell you what all this entails. We start off with a free maternity session when you invest in a Birth Story. We go to a location that fits what you want and I promise it will be oh so memorable! Then, I am on call for, on average, four weeks. Shew! This means my phone is on all night, every night to ensure I'm going to be by your side ready to support you!

If you are going to have a natural birth, I provide birth stories and fresh 48's in an up to two hour radius from Knoxville, TN. I do this so I know that if it is an emergency, I will be there before anything happens! If you have a schedule C-Section or schedule inducement, I travel up anywhere with cost of travel and stay depending on the scenario.

In a Birth Story, I can never depict how long I will be there. We have had some birth stories that lasted two hours, and others that lasted 21 hours. So I guess you can say we are in it for the long haul! I start by taking photos of all of the fun medical stuff, you while you are calm, and even people in the waiting room! Then once you hit around 6cm in dilation, I am in your room from there on out. This session is so intimate and every second counts.

I come prepared with multiple cameras, back up equipment, food, and beverages! If there is down time where you are getting fluids and it's not "baby time" yet, I even try to help your family while they wait. I go get food, talk and hope to make them laugh, call them during the labor so they can hear the first cries of the new baby, and even try to be emotional support when needed.

But wait, there's more! After a long day of labor and bringing your child into the world, I leave once we get your first embrace. The first embrace is when you get to hold your baby for the first time! That is true emotion right there! Once this passionate moment occurs, I leave to allow healing, joy, and family to soak it all in. If you want a fresh 48, I return the next day when everyone is more relaxed and sometimes they even have matching outfits! This session includes pictures of the newborn, family session, and more!

Well, as you can see, 2020 has already been amazing! Sweet baby Tarron was born on 01/14/2020 at 9:25PM, weighing 8lbs 12oz, and 22 inches long! We did a full maternity, birth story, fresh 48, AND I did video too! This will now be a new packaged offered for any future birth stories.
